What is a co-op?

As parents, we share in the daily operation of the preschool, as well as participate in fundraising and decision-making.  Parents assist the teachers in the classroom – one each morning in the Two’s Classes and three each morning in the Three’s and Four’s Classes.  Attendance at approximately five general meetings during the school year is also required.  Limited participation slots are available for a higher monthly tuition (parents only required to work in the classroom once during the year).  Please call for more details.

What about fundraising?

Each spring the preschool parents present a children’s play and shadow puppet theater production for the community.  Each co-op member is required to help with this production.  All proceeds go directly back to the preschool, helping to maintain low tuition.  Check out the theater tab for more information.

Who runs the school?

The volunteer Board of Directors for Eugene’s Parent-Child Preschool is a group of elected and appointed members who provide guidance and make decisions for the preschool.  Co-op parents are always welcome to attend the monthly board meetings.
